The Municipality of Strovolos informs the citizens that recycling is now mandatory for everyone according to the new Waste Law and Regulations as they were approved from the House of Representatives in July 2022.<\/p>\n

For the successful implementation of the above goal, everyone\u2019s contribution is important.<\/p>\n

Why should we recycle?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf43 We reduce the volume of waste and keep the environment clean<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf43 We protect the environment from pollutants<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf43 We save raw materials and energy (the production from used materials requires less energy)<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf43 We have a cleaner and healthier environment<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf43 We help with the creation of new job positions<\/p>\n

The existing methods of recycling until the final implementation of the program planned by the Department of Environment, for the holistic management of all waste, are all listed here. The Municipality is considering various facilitations and new programs to support this purpose.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n
